The Moose is Loose

So, here we are again. After a nice visit from John last weekend it was back to business as usual. However, business as usual in the Roaring Fork Valley can sometimes be quite unusual. Take this morning for example. I arrived at work to find a cow moose foraging by the empty building next door. Apparently she had wandered all the way over from the Grand Mesa. At least that is what the DOW office told us after we phone up with matilda moosethe number off of her tag. Ol' #12 who I named Matilda, hung around until around 4. So in the span of about two months we have had a bear and a moose hanging around. We don't count the deer, elk and coyotes, mainly because they only come around at night and are usually gone by the time I get to work at 6:30.
